Forgiveness

Betrayal and broken trust are so painful and all too often debilitating. So many questions arise. The feeling is like being thrown under the bus – so many whys, wheres, and hows.

I can’t believe I meant so little. I never thought this would happen to me.

We all want forgiveness but are too frequently reluctant to give it or even receive it. There is great freedom in forgiveness. But what is forgiveness, and how does one experience it?

To understand forgiveness, one first has to understand the nature of humanity. Without this understanding, many will become crippled, discouraged, and defeated personally and in their relationships.

The Scripture has a great deal to say about forgiveness.

From Scripture, we will gain great wisdom and understanding about our receiving forgiveness and how we can apply this to others. As a result, you will find this incredibly refreshing.

Your relationships will improve, and peace will reign in your heart and experience. You will become more loving and lovable once you understand these critical truths. To best understand forgiveness, one must have seen it in action. We will talk about how you have received forgiveness and who you have not forgiven.

We will ask you to speak specifically about how this has happened over your lifetime and how you can regain relationships that you perhaps have lost. As a result, you will find peace that you have never encountered before and become an emissary for love as you have never been before.

You will discover two parts of change through the truth of God’s word. One needs to “put off” whatever is negative (i.e., a lie) and instead “put on” the truth. Ephesians 4:31-32 illustrates this truth. It says, “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.”

The heart of Christ’s teachings emphasizes forgiveness. As Christ has already forgiven each of us, we must follow Christ’s command to forgive others.

Peace follows when we forgive others. Bitterness subsides, allowing us to lead a healthier life – free of brokenness and hatred that keeps us stuck.

If you want to know more about forgiveness, let’s talk.
